Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.Two weeks ago, we had many questions under the following title: Are we ever going to be satisfied? Last week we tried to answer those questions in the light of the gospel of John 10:10. We found that, we can live the purposeful life, which is driven by a purposeful God. To be able to understand this week’s devotional, you will need to start reading from the devotionals of two weeks ago. Let’s continue to look for the answers, in the light of Matthew 6:33. In order to have a background of what Jesus is talking about here, I would like us to look at three verses prior to verse 33. We will read it from the Message translation: Matthew 6:30—32,”If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving.
