Musings

 What I know

really knew

ecstasy

lifts free from

an open heart.

Does

the heart

close

become lethargy

hard

when the mist

of bliss

lifts

rises

into emptiness

returns

to nothing

felt?

Or

is the residue

– the mist  –

the heart knowing

a slower

steadier flow?

———————

Lakes

are pleasant enough

streams

rest in rocks

but

waterfalls

even when

frozen

gush beneath

formatted  ice.

Be wary

of a heart

captured by rock

resting too long

in stagnant pools

Hearts

are waterfalls

made to

gush

and gush

and gush

(Manifesting in form – Eileen O’Hea – 2002)
