A New Season – A New Direction

The time has come to refocus.
After all that hocus pocus.
Allowing God’s leading,
after all my pleading.

The tears have stopped,
The penny has dropped.
The key has finally turned,
Door opened and lessons learned.
                       …

I may have used my charm,
With no intention to harm.
I may have temporarily lost sight,
But I put up a good fight.

Greeted with open arms as I did not backslide,
My Father saying ‘Well done my child!

……………………

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” (Heb. 12:1-3)

                                                    ****************************

There is an appointed time for everything.
And there is a time for every event under heaven:
A time to give birth, and a time to die;
A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted.
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
A time to tear down, and a time to build up.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
A time to mourn, and a time to dance.
A time to throw stones, and a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace, and a time to shun embracing.
A time to search, and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away.
A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent, and a time to speak.
A time to love, and a time to hate;
A time for war, and a time for peace. (Eccles. 3: 1-8)

For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime;
weeping may stay for the night,
but rejoicing comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5)
